A hunt group is a list of employees that should be called when a department is selected by a customer. The customer is first placed on hold with music and then the system begins to “hunt” for someone to answer the call. Here is an example:
- Step 1 – Customer selects “Sales” department
- Step 2 – Call Mary, Bob, and John on their office telephones
- Step 3 – Call Mary’s Cell Phone
- Step 4 – Call Bill and John’s Cell Phones
- Step 5 – Go to Sales Voicemail Box if no answer
Larger organizations with multiple departments and product lines can greatly benefit from hunt groups, which help to ensure an orderly call flow and assist customers in getting to the right staff members as quickly as possible. You can add as many hunt groups as you like, and easily control them through our user-friendly web interface.
