It is common for customers to forget or not be aware of the extension number of an employee. With the Dial-By-Name directory customers can enter the first or last name of an employee and they will be transferred to them immediately.
The dial-by-name directory is particularly useful for larger organizations in which it is not practical to manually record the name of every employee and his or her extension. This feature is a function of your autoattendant.
